"Last November Governor Polis called a special legislative session on property taxation. Senate Bill 23B-001 passed, giving a $55,000 Actual Value exemption for residential properties and a $30,000 exemption for commercial properties. In these instances we have already subtracted the $55,000 and/or $30,000 exemption from your 2023 tax bill. The law provides relief for tax year 2023 only, and barring action from the legislature the exemption will be removed for tax year 2024."
